Executive Committee'S MESSAGE

A Statement from the Executive Committee
Trenton Branch NAACP

It is an honor to serve alongside the members of the Trenton Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the nation’s oldest civil rights organization. As the Executive Committee, we are committed to strengthening the Branch and building our capacity as a countywide organization that is responsive, engaged, and deeply rooted in the needs of communities across Mercer County.

As we look ahead, the focus of the Trenton Branch NAACP is returning to our roots. Grassroots organizing begins in communities—between individuals, neighbors, families, faith institutions, and local organizations. We believe meaningful change starts by building relationships. Our work will be in listening to community concerns and empowering residents to organize around the issues that impact their daily lives.

In the years ahead, be on the lookout as we are expanding our presence throughout Mercer County. The Trenton NAACP is focused on strengthening community partnerships and ensuring the NAACP remains a visible force for justice, equity, and advocacy. We stand on the shoulders of those who came before us and recommit ourselves to carrying this legacy forward through service, collaboration, and action.
